Who Spiked the Search? – Labor Day Weekend & 1st Week of September

A look at the top searches on Google last week:

1. Michael Clarke Duncan

Mr. Duncan passed away on September 3rd, 2012.  Despite more obvious career paths for a man of his size (6’5″), his mother pushed him to pursue acting.   Known for many parts, especially John Coffey in The Green Mile,  Michael Clarke Duncan will be missed.

2. Starbucks + Living Social

Starbucks offered a deal through Living Social where patrons could purchase a $10 Starbucks gift card for $5.   Gotta have that caffeine fix!

4. Morgan Freeman

Contrary to popular belief, Morgan Freeman is not dead.

5. Michelle Obama

In anticipation of The First Lady’s speech at the Democratic National Convention, she was searched over 500,000 times on Google alone that day.

6. Khan Academy

A non-profit educational organization created by Salman Kahn in September 2008 whose mission is to “change education for the better by providing a free world-class education for anyone anywhere”.
